Help is available

Knowing where to go or whom to call during an emergency can give you peace of mind. We encourage you to save these phone numbers and share them with loved ones in case you ever need them.

First and foremost, for an immediate life-threatening emergency, call 911 or text 911 if you can’t call. You can check to see if the 911 call center in your area supports text-to-911 and learn more about it here

Food and shelter

Whether you need groceries or want to apply for SNAP assistance, Feeding Texas can help.
